Simone Nasry, based in Arlington, VA, is a dancer dedicated to storytelling through movement. Her research explores how movement offers unique insights into lived experiences and transformative narratives. Simone has taught ballet and creative movement to young dancers in Minnesota and now instructs embodiment practices for refugee communities and nonprofits in northern Virginia. She is trained in classical ballet, contemporary, and modern dance, with studies at Minnesota Dance Theatre, the Limón Institute, and Bates/Gibney, and has learned Liz Lerman’s critical response process under the tutelage of Cassie Meador at Dance Exchange.
