Students explore movement, art and creativity. Led by JFD Teaching Artists, a specific theme ignites the spark for camaraderie and collaboration. Please complete the Emergency Contact and Waiver upon enrollment.
Explore jazz, modern or hip hop, in a safe and supportive environment. We’ll craft movement, manipulate props, experiment with dance styles and create an art project. Parents and caregivers may attend the performance sharing at 3:45.
Mon Sept 25 Ages 6-9 – Master Minds Be creative and explore techniques of collage and multi-media in art and movement.
Mon Oct 9 Ages 7-10 –UFO No! This is an out of this world experience – dive into mystery, imagination and collaborate on movement, theater and visual art.
Fri Oct 20 Ages 5-8 –Animal Adventures Experiment with movement and art inspired by animals, domestic pets and creatures of the wild.
Tues Nov 7 Ages 7-11 -Dance Antics Explore popular social dances and movement using music from the past. Team up and share ideas in movement and art.
CAMP SCHEDULE:
* Core Camp Hours: 10 am –4 pm
10:00 – 11:00am 1st Class (Movement Warm-Up)
11:00 – 11:20am SNACK BREAK*
11:25 – 12:20am 2nd Class (Performance development – dance I)
12:25 – 1:00pm 3rd Class (Visual art)
1:10 – 2:00pm LUNCH*and outdoor play
2:15 – 3:00pm (Performance development – dance II)
3:45 – 4:00pm Sharing/showing for friends & families
* Please bring a lunch, snacks, water bottle. A small blanket or mat is optional.
