Ridge Line
Ridge Line is influenced by
images of the Civil War. The title refers to
the ring of forts and batteries that were erected to
protect Washington D.C.

of the Civil War. It gave a powerful anti-war statement
as it showed how violence moved from the battlefield
into the maddening crowds.

Inside
Out uses personal letters
from both Union and Confederate soldiers. Rally
is a farewell..
Music by Judith
Shatin, Director of the Virginia Center for Computer
Music at the University of Virginia, incorporates electronically
manipulated text and music.
The program
includes other recent repertory and the premier of "This
just in....." a sci-fi fantasy with live theremin
and prepared guitar..
