Artful Afternoon
Greenbelt Community Center
November 4 at 3 pm
Jane Franklin Dance is performing new and recent repertory for Greenbelt's Artful Afternoon. Boundary is explored as an abstract concept and sometimes literally. Space closes in "Big Box Getting Smaller." A delay is the barrier in "One Step Behind." Text by artist Lawrence Weiner defines geographical borders in "A Stake Set in the Ground." In "On Conditions " performed to Alan Licht's New York Minute boundaries exist with an unseen partner.
Suitable for all ages. Come early for hands-on crafts with Artist in Residence Hussein Saidi, 1-3pm. Attend the performance and receive a Two-For-One discount to Dance Sampler the following Sunday!
