"The students were fully engaged in the classes and benefited greatly from their exposure to both her (Jane Franklin's) technique and her collaborative approach to choreography. The learning experience for students is enhanced when they are able to discover the wide range of aesthetic choices possible."

- Joan Gavaler, Professor of Dance College of William & Mary

Temporal Interference

Foro Performatica - Universidad de las Américas-Puebla, Mexico and

University of Colorado Denver

University of Colorado Denver, Dept of Arts and Media presents Jane Franklin Dance in Temporal Interference, a new media and dance performance with artist and Assistant Professor Bryan Leister and composer Gina Biver on April 5, 2008 at 7:30 PM in the King Center, Auraria Campus, Denver.

Using live video, electro acoustic software and a Theremin, dancers interact with media components developed by Bryan Leister. Dancers’ proximity to media antennas result in layered sound and projected real time video.

Temporal Interference premiered in March 2007 in Washington DC at the Warehouse Theater and was presented at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage in May 2007. The media work has received an invitation to Foro Performatica` a festival conference at Universidad de las Americas at Puebla Mexico and will be performed there on April 3, with Jane teaching a festival workshop on April 1.
