"Jane Franklin’s choreography is full of arresting visual pictures, including a repeated motif of the trio holding their arms toward the ceiling in exaltation—representing vividly Temporal Interference’s gentle tugging at the fabric of space and time."

Dear Friends,

This past year has been a year full of changes for Jane Franklin Dance. We have taken on exciting artistic challenges leading to this coming new year of great possibilities.  Here is what we have coming in 2008.

Sound Walk, samples the sounds of Arlington through community participation, live music, and premiere performances at Alexandria’s exquisite Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center Center on March 1, 2008.

• Jane Franklin Dance has been invited to perform Temporal Interference at
Performática, an international dance festival in Puebla, Mexico, March/April 2008

• The premiere of a new school performance tied to science and environment, Woods and Wilds.

• Continuation of after-school workshops for elementary age youth from Ft. Henry Gardens, A.H.C, and other youth programming in Alexandria and Arlington.

You can help Jane Franklin Dance with these projects by participating in our Winter Fundraising Campaign. Donate online to help us increase our current programming that makes dance visible and available to all sectors of the community.
